Haunch of Venison
Founded in 2002, the Haunch of Venison is now firmly established as one of the leading private galleries in the world. This ambition was clearly held from the very beginning and it has been hugely gratifying for Spin to play such an important role in its success.
One of the fundamental tasks in any cultural Identity is to achieve the right balance between the artist and the gallery. By creating a system with a consistently applied area for the branding we gave ourselves the space to respond to each exhibition individually. This strategy helped to keep all the materials we created for the galley fresh.
The marque was inspired by the name of the gallery. A haunch of venison is the hind leg of a deer: the logo has three legs - a haunch is missing. It also alludes to the letters H and V.
