De La Espada specialises in intelligent solid wood furniture craft steeped in tradition and innovation. With a dedicated factory in Northern Portugal, they partner with internationally renowned designers who art direct, curate and design their own product lines, supporting them through manufacture and distribution.
An important consideration of the De La Espada visual identity was that it didn’t compete with the logos of the individual designers and studios that it works with. We took a utilitarian tack and created a systematic type based identity. This gave them a distinctive an recognisable presence in all their communications without dominating their partners.
