Future Observatory

Future Observatory is the Design Museum’s research programme for the green transition. Launched in 2021 in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the programme hosts interdisciplinary research investigating how design can respond to some of the most important challenges of the facing us.

Through Future Observatory’s work the museum is redefined as a training ground for the future, taking significant steps in making design research available to the public.

The identity is based on the idea of a pair of abstracted eyes set on shaping our future.
